Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Markiewicz

Educated in Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Markiewicz’s utmost priority was to obtain his training at centers of excellence, surrounding himself by the world’s foremost surgical educators in the fields of oral and maxillofacial, head and neck oncologic, reconstructive, and pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery. This led his travels to the corners of the continental United States. Among many notable surgeons, he received his oral and maxillofacial surgery training under the mentorship of Drs. R. Bryan Bell and Eric Dierks. He then traveled to Orlando, Florida to obtain his pediatric cleft and craniomaxillofacial surgery training under Dr. Ramon Ruiz, at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, which hosts one the largest birthing centers and neonatal intensive care units in the country. There Dr. Markiewicz received training and surgical expertise in managing children affected by congenital and acquired craniofacial deformities. To complete his surgical training, Dr. Markiewicz traveled just North to Jacksonville, Florida, to complete his training in Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery under world renowned surgeon, Dr. Rui Fernandes, at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, one of the busiest units of its kind in the Southeastern United States.
